CHALLENGE
Greenwoods and Herbert Smith Freehills wanted to introduce a Design Thinking mindset to the organisation at the annual conference. They engaged Collective Campus to begin the mindset shift while upskilling the team on Design Thinking, including the tools required to apply it across the organisation.
SOLUTION
Collective Campus delivered a half day session in Sydney during the annual conference (over 80 attendees). The session helped the team:
- Develop a detailed understanding of Design Thinking as a creative problem-solving mindset.
- Build hands-on knowledge in use of best practice tools and templates.
- Develop strategies to adopt behaviours required to embed Design Thinking.
- Identify high quality ideas to progress (each team in the session pitched their top idea to get intial buy in).
OUTCOME
The team gained a deep understanding of the value in applying Design Thinking at a traditional organisation. The workshop helped facilitate an end to end understanding of Design Thinking and provided the team with a key selection of tools to develop and prototype their ideas. The team were split into 10 different groups and developed innovative solutions after applying the design thinking methodology. These solutions were aimed at retaining top quality talent and improving collaboration with clients.
