We are focusing heavily on the employee experience within our organisation and prefaced our annual ‘strategy to plans’ workshop for the HR function with some practical team development on design thinking. Shay quickly developed a clear understanding of our current context and the outcomes we were seeking through using this approach, and the one day program he designed for us really hit the mark. Shay facilitated a high energy, practical workshop which provided us a great shared understanding of the use of design thinking to improve our ability to develop solutions for better EX outcomes. We were able to immediately use the design, prototyping and customer journey tools through the remainder of our planning workshop and feel confident as a team in this space.

CHALLENGE

Navitas wanted to introduce a Design Thinking mindset to problem solving within the HR team. They engaged Collective Campus to upskill the team in Design Thinking, including the tools required to apply it to improve two focus areas of the team.

SOLUTION

Collective Campus delivered training for the Navitas HR team to help them:

- Develop a detailed understanding of Design Thinking as a creative problem-solving mindset. 

- Build hands-on knowledge in use of best practice tools and templates.
- Develop strategies to adopt behaviours required to embed Design Thinking in the culture.
- Identify innovative ideas to problems faced across two key focus area of the team.

OUTCOME

The team gained a deep understanding of the value in applying Design Thinking to problems within HR and across other parts of the business. The workshop helped facilitate an end to end understanding of Design Thinking and provided the team with a key selection of tools to develop, prototype, and pitch their ideas. The team came up with over 100 ideas and built prototypes of four selected ideas.
